We believe that as iron sharpens iron, learning together and studying God’s word is a fundamental part of Christian growth. Recognizing the diverse spiritual life of our congregation, we have Sunday School classes for Adults and Children of all ages.

Our Sanctuary Choir is a vital part of our worship service. We practice on Sunday afternoons at 4 PM so that we may lead and encourage others in worship. We perform every Sunday morning for the glory of God. We also perform at three special times of the year: Easter, HomeComing and Christmas.
Children & Youth Ministries
Our “His Kids” ministry is about transforming the hearts, minds, and lives of children and youth by sharing the Gospel, teaching the Bible, and demonstrating the love of Christ through special events, group Bible Studies, Kid’s Choir, various outreach ministries, VBS, and more!
Kids Choir is held on Wednesdays at 6 pm in the Children’s Church Room at the same time as Adult Bible Study. This allows parents to participate in Bible Study while the kids learn to sing and play instruments. Mrs. Tina is currently teaching our young rockstars to play the recorder.
Last summer a group of 8 kids and 2 Chaperones attended CentriKid Camp at Brewton Parker College in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. It was an amazing experience for our kids and we have already reserved slots for kids and youth to attend camp next summer!
VBS (Vacation Bible School) is SBBC’s biggest outreach event of the year and everyone from age 3-85+ gets involved. Kids worship through music, learn about national and international missions, create amazing keepsake crafts, and most importantly learn about Jesus through Bible study.
2024 marked 100 years of outreach to children through VBS! Our VBS was blessed with 75 Kids attending and 53 amazing volunteers. Over $1500.00 was given to our VBS offering which will be used to purchase items to fill backpacks for elementary school children in an impoverished area of Tennessee.

Women’s Ministries
Our WMU meets the 2nd Tuesday August through May at 11 AM to support several outreach ministries in our community including:
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
The Savannah Baptist Center
Knitted Hats for Ronald McDonald House, Memorial Children’s Hospital, Wolfson Children’s Hospital, The Lewis Cancer Center
Prayer blankets for members and non-members who are sick or hospitalized.
Throughout the year our ladies and ladies in our community meet at 2 PM on Tuesdays in the WMU Room off of the main building for Bible Study.
Men’s Ministries
Our Men’s Brotherhood gathers every Monday at 8:30 am for a Men’s Prayer Breakfast as well as on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM for a time of fellowship, food, and Bible Study with each other and other men in the community.
The Men’s Ministry also hosts dinners throughout the year for all members of the church and provides meals to shut-ins within our community.
Community Outreach
Our Community Coffee Fellowship is a great way to start your day. Held on the 2nd and last Thursday of the month from 9-11 in the Fellowship Hall of our Family Life Center, you can sip on a hot, fresh cup of coffee, enjoy wonderful company, play games, and enjoy some snacks.
This is a free event that's open to all.

LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING FOR INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS - 2024 donations totaled over $3,520.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING FOR NORTH AMERICAN MISSIONS - 2024 donations totaled over $5,000.
CHRISTMAS BACKPACKS through the Georgia Baptist Mission Board - purchased and filled 24 backpacks for youth ages 11-17 with donations from our 2024 VBS totaling over $1,500.
