Brad Butler has been the pastor of Shellman Bluff Baptist church since December 2019. Prior to coming to SBBC, he served as pastor of churches in Louisiana, Indiana, Michigan and Georgia, most recently at First Baptist of Pembroke for 14 1/2 years. He is a graduate of Shorter College, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He is married to Tina. They have two grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters. Brad and Tina are excited to be on the bluff, and look forward to many years of service at SBBC.
Music Director
Terry Barnard has had many musical experiences. As a child, he would sing with his family while sitting on his grandmother’s front porch and Also at Watermelon Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Later in high school, he started several different gospel quartets and was an award-winning singer at Literary as a soloist and in quartet. He studied singing in college and as an adult traveled and recorded with different gospel quartets. He particularly loves church and gospel music.
Terry is married to Susan, who is also a singer. He is a state employee, among other occupations.
Director of Children & Youth Ministies
Morgen Walker has served as the Director of Children and Youth Ministries since June of 2019, but she has been active in children’s ministries at Shellman Bluff Baptist Church since 2014. She has served as a Bible Study Leader, Team Kid Leader and Director, GA Leader, Bible Drill Leader, VBS teacher. She currently teaches the Youth Sunday School class and has been VBS Director since 2017. She also serves on various committees related to furthering outreach to children and youth ministries at SBBC.
Morgen is married to Bo and together they have 3 children. Morgen has a heart for sharing the love of Jesus with children and teens in the community.
